Areas of Practice - Estate Planning - Living Trust Wills
- Estate planning - Determining the desired method of control and means of distributing ones assets using a will or a trust. This process also includes the preparation of other ancillary documents including advanced healthcare directives and special powers of attorney.
- Living Trust - The estate planning method that maximizes the death tax exemptions of a husband and wife and helps to avoid court involvement (probate), and the related expense, delay, and loss of privacy.
- Asset Protection - The use of Limited Liability Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, and other sophisticated structures to protect one's assets.
- Medicaid Planning - A method of protecting a portion of the assets of a person who is unable to obtain long term care insurance.
- Last Will & Testament - An estate planning tool available for individuals for whom a living trust may not be appropriate.
- Probate - The legal process initiated following one's death through which the decedent's assets (estate) are dispensed in accordance with his or her last will and testament or, in the absence of a will, in accordance with the law.
